We arrived sa lugar ng mga 10am. Pagdating namin sa gate, hinarang kami ng mga sundalo para sa routine checkpoint. Buti na lang, andun kaagad ang escort namin.
We decided to wait for team B and team C to arrive bago kami pumasok sa compound. There is safety in numbers. We took pictures while waiting.
The place is called Camp Magsaysay. Located in Laur, Nueva Ecija, it was once the place for Solitary Confinement for Jose Pepe Diokno and Ninoy Aquino for at least a month. At other times, it servers as the base camp for the military for our forces up north.
Camp Magsaysay is actually a military camp/park. May simbahan sa loob. May naka-display na cannons para sa picture-taking. They also have a hangar para sa small planes in case need mag travel ng mabilis o magbagsak ng cloudseed to force the rains to drop.
Ang reason bat ako nandun? birthday kasi ng tito ko. I don’t know what he does really. Ang alam ko lang, sumasaludo sa kanya ang lahat ng andun. Our mini gathering was also graced by their Gwapo Band; an all-soldier combo that plays various music genre. Magaling sila in fairness.
We ate a lot. Naki-share kami sa pagkain ng sundalo. Nakakabusog talaga.
I encourage you all to visit the place. A lot has to be learned about the protectors of our land, and also, Martial Law.
