First Laguna Blogging Summit: A Huge Success

Last September 27 and 28, 2012 at 8:00am to 5:00pm with the support of the Provincial Government of Laguna under Governor Jeorge “ER” Estregan Ejercito, the FIRST Laguna Social Media and Blogging Summit (1LaBS) was held at the Cultural Center of Laguna.

Delegates from Manila, students from LSPU, STI, AMA crowded the venue and exceeded the expected number of attendees by 300%. Andami nun!

Nakaka-star struck ang beauty ni Mayor Girlie Javier Ejercito. Kumanta siya ng “Bangkero”, yung song na nagpo-promote ng Pagsanjan. Very memorable talaga ang performance niya.

Engr. Grace Bondad Nicolas, the Lead Organizer and a blogger herself, gave the opening remarks. Sobrang bait ni Grace. I am part of her team at parati niya kinukumusta ang station ko sa registration kung ok lang ako. Di niya ata alam na sanay ako sa mga ganitong events. Lagueno din kaya ako.

The objective of the summit is to bring to Laguna the best speakers and writers from social media to share to Lagueno the benefits of technology today. The speakers are well known at blogosphere plus with writers and media as participants who are there not only to learn but to cover the whole summit, the event will give mileage to the province in terms of tourism.
