Got A Guy: My Physical Therapists Who Handles My Pains

I was part of the ADP Dragons United FOOTBALL club.

Ang kaso, I was forcing myself a little bit pagdating ng tournament.

After a few google searches at pagtanung-tanong sa mga experts, I found out na meron akong Plantar Fasciitis. It is usually caused by moving in sports without proper support. I didn’t feel like I should get some ankle support, pero mukhang dahil doon, at pag-gain ko na rin ng weight, nag suffer ang left foot ko.

I needed help.

EXPERTS OF PAIN.

I found this Doctor of Physical Therapy, si Doc Ron. He is the owner of Active Life Chicago PT. With 12 clinics in the Philippines, with the prominent ones in Taguig, Makati, and Shaw – I knew na alam niya ang ginagawa niya.

I paid him a visit about a month ago. Nagpa-therapy ako. My session lasted for about an hour.

The place was visited by people who cannot raise their arms without pain. Some are there after a surgery to correct their movements. Usually, the elderly are there to keep their movements flowing.

There were so many machines that were used to relax, tighten, relax again, and hit jolts on my leg muscles. It felt like I was battling the Avengers dahil may pang-massage sila na parang si Hulk, may laser na parang si IronMan, at may pang-kuryente na parang si Thor.

Cute din yung Therapist ko. She knows a lot.

A few exercises were taught to me din. My feet, sole, and ankles, all felt energized after that. I am planning to go back again for follow ups, at para maka-bisita na rin dun.

AN HONEST DIAGNOSIS

Doc Ron is an honest doctor. He would say to you bluntly kung kaya pa ma-solusyonan yan o hindi. I admire how he is being straight-forward to his clients, talking to them like they are friends.

He trained in the states. Yung equipment na gamit niya, known and effective dun. He was from Chicago, which is why nakadikit ang Chicago sa names ng clinic niya.

His vision is to update and upgrade the Philippine Physical Therapy community. We have machines that would correct our movement. We have new theories and exercises. These have to be shared throughout the country.

I share his vision, which is why I am writing this blog. He is my guy, and he knows how to eliminate that pain.

I would go to a doctor that I can trust – hindi yung mga taga-pirma lang ng Med Cert.

NEXT STOP: Ball Pit Manila – opening SOON

Dear Diego,

Somewhere in Makati daw.

Ball Pit Manila - Coffee & Play

Ball Pit Manila – Coffee & Play

Dapat sana, ilagay nila sa madaling puntahan, like Ever Gotesco Mall, Old Divisoria Mall, Malabon Zoo, or sa Uniwide-Baclaran.

Abangan natin to, Diego.

Wishfully thinking,
promking

2015 Best Ramen in Manila by a Japanese Reviewer

Gaku Nakamura is a self-styled Japanese Ramen Consultant living in Manila. Last year, he listed his top 10 ramen with Ramen Nagi topping the list. But with a number of new and authentic restaurants popping up, here is some of Gaku-san’s top ramen for 2015!
#5 Mendokoro Ramenba

Mendokoro Ramenba

MUST TRY: Shoyu Tonkatsu

Gaku says: “Mendokoro has tonkotsu-based ramen with chashu. The restaurant looks just like a Japanese-style kitchen and it reminds me of a good ramen restaurant in Japan, Afuri. The taste of the broth and chasu is very nice.”
#4 Mitsuyado Seimen

MUST TRY: Cheese Tsukemen

Gaku says: “Tsukemen soup is yuzu flavor and the noodles are thick. I have never thought that cheese can fit wih Tsukemen, but you will be satisfied once you taste it at Mitsuyado!
#3 Ramen Daisho

MUST TRY: Miso Ramen

Gaku says: “The best Miso ramen in Manila! It is located along Shaw Blvd. Although not located in a major mall, lots of people go there just to eat Daisho’s delicious ramen. Not only ramen, but their gyoza are also delicious.”
#2 Ramen Nagi

MUST TRY: Butao Ramen

Gaku says: “Nagi’s tonkotsu-based broth tastes like real Japanese tonkotsu. If you’re a first-time visitor, try Butao. When you’ve eaten half of it, try to add their Fire sauce to change the taste. You can also change the firmness of the ramen and the toppings based on your preference.”

Visiting Manila but you cannot catch the season opener for NBA? Worry not.

The regular season will begin on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls, who will be hosting a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the early game, followed by the 2015 NBA champion Golden State Warriors hosting the New Orleans Pelicans in the night game.

If you are worrying that you cannot catch these games because you have flights from Manila to Boracay, or any of the 7,000 plus islands that we have, you must know that there is a place a few minutes from the airport that can accommodate your basketball thirst.

Sparks is not just a club with a dance floor. Its has a Sports Bar with plenty of sports channels to watch and great food and drinks.

You can also play a little for yourself. Sparks is known for its Beerpong competitions, both in-house and tournaments. Just sign up and play.

Get your gang together to cheer for you. Let them have some tacos and fries while you use a pingpong ball to humiliate an adversary. Get everybody shouting your name.

And get drunk on the process.

Sparks is a Restaurant too. Great food.

Sparks is a Restaurant too. Great food.

It is a Restaurant during meal hours, a Sports bar during sports hours and a Club at night.

Grilled chicken is the best pair to a pale pilsen. Tacos go along with cocktails. I know you know the drill. Make sure you share.

The place can also host your party. It has VIP rooms for VIP’s.

It is better to have your own couches to secure your belongings.
